Vision
All children receive the care and education they deserve.
Project 2000 is a licensed preschool & family childcare in Kent, Washington, that recognizes that the first 2000 days of a child’s life is a crucial time to lay the foundation for school and later life success. Our program provides hands-on learning through play to promote social-emotional, physical, language, literacy, math, science, social studies, and creativity.
For our Christian community, our curriculum will honor your child’s faith through the “grow your faith” portion of our curriculum.

Project 2000 Preschool recognizes each family & child come with unique strengths. We provide education and resources that build upon the strengths of each family and child. We respect the variety of cultures that families and children bring by supporting home language and literacy within the curriculum, classroom & environment while promoting respect for differences and celebrating how we are alike.
Interaction
Our teachers uses strategies such as getting to know you well by frequently interacting with that child one-on one, demonstrating respect for each child’s idea and effort to solve a problem, validate children’s efforts by acknowledging what they are doing or did, provide learning experiences that are challenging enough to promote children’s learning but not frustrating, we model self-talk that supports children’s thinking while offering suggestions about how to approach tasks successfully. We observe children purposefully and regularly while documenting what we see and hear and share such information with families.
